question for b9community 3d scanner

I will need to scan some objects not bigger than a tennis racket and small like 10cm for work soon. I have read some reviews and forums into 3d scanners and its very hard to compare and decide what model and brand to buy. I would also like to be able to scan some human bust at some later time also.
4-7k is what i have available for scanner what are you guys using that works and doesnt break your pocket. And my other question is how much cleanup work is needed *3d* to get models print quality.
thanks

i use photogrammetry with great results no matter the scale of the object.
i have 3d scaned from 3 meter high statues to 5 cm busts ,with consistent results
otherwise you have to buy different scanners for different scales..
which can be really expensive and also a nightmare when it comes to post cleaning your 3d mesh

Regarding cleaning the 3d scan ,if you know how to scan using photogrammetry there is minimal to none cleanup you need to do..

hi andreas
i did look into the blog you posted last time but it does not show the workflow of photographs to software to 3d mesh to cleanup.
can u point me to a tutorial. I have a cannon d80 which in not professional but takes very good pics i can use to do this. I can try this method before buying equipment just dont know how.

There is not a lot of info out there.
if you search photogrammetry in you tube you will find some basic tutorials to get you started..

If you do not mind send me 15-20 photos of an object you want to scan ,
so i can guide you step by step through the process..

I have a link to a Facebook page for this. I was interested in it last year but didn't take the time to do it,
there is a ton of people working with Photogrammetry there.

From what I have read the smaller the object the lower the quality of the photogrammetry output.
