New user shrinking issue

I'm confused. What was the result? Why didn't it meet your expectations? What machine are you using? What post cure process are you using? What cleaning method are you using?

New user shrinking issue

I have the same problem, it is supposed to be anprojector caliberation issue, but no matter what I still get the shrinkage. I scale models 1.02 to get to where I am after curibg in the uv box. I got to check about other dimensions being bigger. This is on version 1.2

also mazen, the bigger the piece the more shrinkage occurs from my experience.

I scale all models for setting and sizing to allow for shrinkage (3d scale at 1.015). Really heavy ones at 1.02.

yes do that, also if you could get the grid size laser cut on acrylic, so its more precise and doesnt bend for easier and more accurate caliberation, and I also use a loop to zoom in even more for the best focus. Start with 1.015 after that see what your results are and then if needed try 1.02 which I only do for big pieces.

I am also facing this problem can some one explain how to apply this 1.02 or 1,015.
Can you do some thing to correct the calibration itself. Re size the calibration Grid or increase or decrease the projector position

You can scale in the layout software itself. Myself and others scale our finished model. I select the model and scale 3d (all three axis).

Robert you mean scale down the model. ( What mean is you make the model small by 1.015)
Am I right?
Thanks Robert

No. When u scale with 1.015 u are going up 1.5% (1.03 x size would be 3% up).

Robert,
I think I missed something. In the printing process the object is getting bigger in size. (Due to some error). So to compensate for that error if you further increase the size of the object (by 1.015). Aren't you increasing the error?
Is there any thing wrong in the way I understood it?
Thanks

I misunderstood the post, sorry, but the thread title thru me it about shrinkage. Is the finger size bigger and the width and the thickness on your prints?

Did u check your scale settings in the layout to make sure they are 1 , 1, and 1 for X Y and Z?
