Would it be any easier to just make the whole left hand end wall as a piece of glass, rather than inserting a part into an aluminium frame?

I haven't mixed SubG+ and B9R at all.
But once again one of the clients confirmed that they casted pure SubG+. Once again - no photos, no any evidence on quality. Just said that it was ok.

Sounds good Noahbern! Thanks for all the input everyone. @ tobyramp yes will look deeper into that site and see what else they have, may just stick with regular 1/8 glass since I'm already set up with a quick way to cut glass to close tolerances.

And Rabs1 yes that would be alot easier but thinking it still needs the screws from the bottom and the side to keep all four corners solid tight and permanently bonded.--Will post some photos of what I have in mind over the weekend so everyone can have a look.

All very do-able without a lot of hassle. Just a couple of mods and one extra part to make. Print is drawn up and ready to machine as soon as the weekend arrives..Should work out well, we shall soon find out! : )

Yes cerberus333 pricing will remain the same as mentioned on page 2. Have not come up with a "kit" price yet but need to put a few of more these together before I can make that final determination. You don't need an oven to use this BUT you do need one to maximize the 20ML PDMS saving feature....UNLESS there is a way to figure a workaround?

According to the manufacture the slygard "working time" is 90 minutes and is fully cured in 48. This being the case, will finally get a chance to do some testing this week to see what might be possible without an oven? Will soon find out.

And perhaps a chance to do some more printing soon as well, add a few final revisions,. and come up with the hold down thickness- washer that doubles as part of the built in leveling mechanism, etc. more on those details later.

Smiles and a sigh of relief to have finally gotten past the "add a window" issue! Kirk

Looks like my plsatic vat is on its way out... I'm nursing it along but I will defo be up for one of these, possibly 2. Do you have any idea of cost to ship to the UK?

HI tribetype4-0, sounds good, I have not checked into shipping yet to UK but will do all shipping at cost. I know overseas can be a bit pricey depending on the region. You could always PM me with an address and I can give an estimate, but don't have the final weight just yet. Might be better to wait until it's in a box and ready to ship. Will let everyone know in advance a few days before they are ready to go!

Yes the addition of the window did slow things down a bit but still making good progress.. most of last weekend was gobbled up with the need for a upgrade to the class cutting device, since more cuts are now necessary--and some last minute calculations/drawings necessary for leveling accessory completion... Used some Scintillation material we had laying around so I can quickly and accurately set lengths with pins.

But good news is things are geared up for production to FINALLY begin this weekend... Finished the layout drawing for side one ops last night...All second ops programs/jaws/fixtures are ready to go as well.

Things should go pretty quickly now that all the revisions have been addressed and we can finally begin production.

Hard to estimate the exact eta but soon soon am hoping soon..lol.. Thanks everyone for your patience, it's been a long haul non-stop! Can't wait to get them into your hands ASAP! More pics after this weekend from the production line! : )
