We are doing test on the NuVat. After all info is in Mike should post user info. I think Evert will start selling then. This is my understanding as of now.
Robert

Actually Mike has already made his position clear on November 20th.
Mike's testing and results http://www.b9c.com/support/?mingleforumaction=viewtopic&t=2257.0#postid-23637

for small prints he says it could be ok but for larger prints he has his reservations but has no problem with Evert selling it.

I'm OK with this product being sold, I'm giving Evert permission to do so. But I want his customers to be aware of the possible issues of "sticking" to the coating when printing large cross sectional parts. It's not the perfect pdms alternative, but the "no clouding" feature may make it very useful for certain situations.

I was gone from the 19th till the 28th so I couldn't post to the forum and have been playing catch up.
There is a new disclaimer based on the problem that Mike had with the glass releasing from his Vat during testing of the large object. apparently it actually pulled the glass plate off the vat spilling resin into projector. But read the thread and you will see that Mike said that the glass just needs a more permanent seal and or adhesion.

We are working on the disclaimer now but basically if your buy one it is at your risk and let it be known that this problem has happened once and could happen again.

Ak -- Mike was asking for testers with the 1.1 machine at diff resolutions because he only has the 1.2 machines running rigtht now I think. Maybe that was the 1:1 mix testers he was asking for. Sorry for the confusion.

Here are a few prints using the new 1:1 mix with Mike's numbers and defaults. These were printed with evert's Nuvat coating....appears to not be any difference than using pdms......

Nice looking prints ... is there the issue of sticking with the NuVat or can we assume for jewelry its safe?

Cool photos. I guess it's studio lighting system, kind of some light box?
So you are sure that it is similar to pDMS?
Arghhh! Can't wait to get mine to test! I ordered awhile ago but this international shipping... :(

Hi Tim, in my opinion, the prints using the Nuvat coating are as good as the one printed using pdms. In regards to my photos...my set up is very crude...no light box....I use an Olumpus OMD EM5 camera.

This is my first casting using the 1:1 mix. 8 hour burnout using satincast

Yes, I think it is safe for jewelry sized prints.

I have been growing things at 50 XY on the Evert glass using the hatch pattern background and have not had any problems so far. Big parts stuck , but it did not damage the glass coating.

...what is the "hatch pattern background"? Are you referring to the woven texture that Artcam produces?
