Exposure settings for Emerald Green

Hi Guys,

I'm very new to 3D printing and have always outsourced to a casting company, I have just taken a dive into this world. Well maybe to a dive, I've stepped in very cautiously by purchasing a Anycubic Photon $500 printer (with goals of one day owning the Core 530). I can print other resins with no issues but none can cast so I thought I'd try Emerald Green because I've heard it casts so well. I havent got one build to world and I'm wondering if anyone has exposure times they can recommend.

I'm using the following:
Layer thickness - 0.05mm
Normal exposure time 10 sec
Off Time - 6.5 sec
Bottom Exposure - 50 sec
Bottom Layers - 8

Thanks for any help.

Hi Aaron,
A low energy printer like the Photon will print OK with certain resins that do not require much energy to cure. But to use it to print with Emerald (or any quality castable resin) will require MUCH longer exposure times.
I am not familiar with your current exposure times, but for Emerald, I'd try printing with at least 4 times larger (ie, if 10 sec works with their resin, try 40 secs for Emerald). You'll just have to experiment with larger times until you find one that works.
Measure Twice, Cut Once.
