Can you print black at 25 micron slicing?

I know the black resin is optimized for 30 micron slices, but can it be pushed to 25 microns? Has anyone tried it?

We have printed at 50xy 25z. The models came out great. No issue whatsoever.

i mix Black & B9 1:1, it's castable.

What times do you use for the black and 1:1? Also what's your mix black 1 part to b9 1:1, 1 part?

I did try the 25µ slicing with the black, and I did get the z-axis blurring as predicted. The pieces are useable, but not as crisp as they should be, so I'll probably not do that again.

Hi hannahrdd,

"50xy 25z" means,
30 micron slices and the size of printing is (x,y,z)=50mm x 50mm x 25mm?
Or, does "25z" means 25 micron slices?

Regards

Does my understanding correct  ? :

50xy → scale
25Z → each thickness(unit: micron) of slices

Sophie ,

50 is the layout(projector is at the middle hole)
25 is the slice ..

Sophie, the only way to change the xy resolution is by moving the projector.

Closest to the vat is 30xy, middle is 50 xy, bottom hole in the machine back plate is 70 xy.

You can choose to slice at whatever z you want with the projector in any of the configurations (positions).

andreas,

Thank you very much Andeas for checking my question.
Thanks to you I could make sure that we can chose 30xy(top hole), 50xy(middle hole) and 70xy(bottom hole) depend on how do we want to print.

The result might become below, doesn't it:
30xy → precisely & taking more time
70xy → coarsely & less time

Robert,

I appreciate so much answering my primitive question.

>Closest to the vat is 30xy, middle is 50 xy, bottom hole in the machine back plate is 70 xy.
Thank you, now I could understand. I re‐found three holes behind the B9.

>You can choose to slice at whatever z you want with the projector in any of the configurations (positions).
I see. From the bottle of B9 black resin, we can choose 30-200 micron layer..
When I review my notebook, it was marked that slice thickness is 50-70(recommendation of Agency).
