I have been printing with the wiper on the flap instead of the sweeper for the last 2 weeks.....Ever since I switched over to printing with the green resin Surprised it didn't rip out the pdms....still got good prints tho. How was that even possible?
The springs that hold the sweeper to the PDMS are not very strong, if they were u would prob have damaged the PDMS. Could also damage the PDMS if it happen to have any type of burr or surface irregularity.
Didn't know where else on the forum top put this.........I have successfully used a vat for so long that the light from the projector has slightly clouded the acrylic window...kinda like how the light from the projector clouds the pdms....does that make sense? I do not have the actual data of how many prints and hours are on this vat or the number of pdms re-coatings I did on this vat (several hours and I would guess at least 4-5 recoatings)....note the area inside the orange rectangle. Has anyone else noticed this? Is it an issue to be concerned with? The attached image of the vat has no pdms.
Haven't seen this, yet. Interesting though. I have recoated my vats, some as many as 4 times. Will be looking for this, if I see it, will post. Any chance u got some resin residue on the window and it cured?
