You should try 30 xy at 30 z with default cherry settings. There is really no dif between 30 an 25 z slice.

If there is no difference between 25 and 30 z slice, why not use 25....it may take a tiny bit longer......but color me crazy.... I think my prints are better at 25z :)

panastation, not sure why you are getting the horizontal lines. Are you using pure cherry with defaults? Looks like you have changed a few of the settings.....

TAJS I was not trying to get u to print at 30. Just wondering if u had tried the 30 to see if the print quality would be good enough for your modles. You may have convinced me build some pieces at 25 in the future. Really nice work.

Noah, this ring was oxidized with JAX http://www.jaxchemicals.com/jaxshop/shopexd.asp?id=57

Robert, I have printed at both 25 and 30. How did you end up settling on 30z instead of 25z? I know you use a 1:1 mix with some custom settings, but how did you arrive at those settings? I would try the 1:1 mix but do not know the settings....

Use this most of the time, but sometimes us 1.5 base and .5 over (depends on model and size of micro prongs). With 6.0 base and 1.0 over for 2 attach layers. I always use 1mm subsequent overlift and 3 sec or more of settle (more if i have lots of supports). Let me know if u need more info. Again, great looking stuff!

Hi TAJS,

Great Pics, awesome work!!

What kind of cleaning+finishing procedure do you use once the print is done? Cleaning with alcohol and 3 hours in curing in Nail boxes?

Thanks Robert for the info!

Hi Sam, I have been heat curing in my kiln instead of using the UV light box. I clean my prints in the ultrasonic and have pretty much quit using alcohol....HTH

Here are a few more prints.....

HTH equals "hope this helps" :) I cure at roughly 350 degrees for at least 2.5 hours...HTH

Hahha THA thanks TAJS
( "That Helps Allot")
:)
I could just use the PDMS curing oven for this rather than the kiln even turn on the convection might speed things up.

I use my convection oven to cure heavy pieces. Also when I need to cure one in a hurry.
