Thanks everyone for your patience, the prototype is 99% complete and just a few more weeks until they will be available. Still need to make a precision glass cutting device so I can get the glass +0 -.005 inches, machine the PDMS inserts, and then some test printing and it will be time to begin production, FINALLY! : ) Everything looks good and everything is coming along without a hitch. Layouts, vice jaws, jigs and tooling needed are near complete as well. Material is on hand and ready to cut.
There are some pics of the first design and the new one, The "ball" design was OK but a bit too much, so I re did from scratch so it is much lighter, and easier on the eye. Weighs in at a mere .906lbs (that's 14.496 ounces- OR 411 grams), (but without glass and insert)! So weight is right on target 100%.

Still need to make a few optimizations in the programing for batch run and I should have the pricing at that point. Will definitely be reasonable and within everyone's reach. Figured out a cool way to make leveling fast and easy as well. This has been quite an adventure!
Also, for those who enjoy high resolution 50xy printing, -good news is I have another cool idea on the way as far as further PDMS saving is concerned, inspired by Keith the Cadwax guy- and should make precision projector placement quick and simple. More on that later..
Working every chance I get to make this all happen as quickly as humanly possible. Vats should be available in 2-4 weeks, depending on how much time I can get in at the shop I work at. Will contact all interested parties a few days in advance so everyone has equal chance at them as they come on line.
Best regards, Kirk
