Can I upload a tiff file to print?

I have a tiff stack file, would it be possible to upload this to print. Instead of uploading an .stl file which then gets sliced.

Thank you

As far as I know, unless u can convert the file to .stl, u can't import it into the layout much less the slice software. Don't know enough about tiff files to know about converting. There are some services for file conversion, just Google.

Can you convert your tiff stack file into a series of individual images?

If so you can create a job file out of a series of images in .bmp .png .jpg .tiff .svg or .slc format using the old edit tool located in the main menu of the software.

Once you open the tool you will have to open an existing job and then "edit it".

In the tool you can use the "Import Images.." item in the file menu to select the first of the series of images. (you need to have a folder containing all 1000 or so images each one named: "0000.tiff, 0001.tiff, 0002.tiff etc...)

Once again, you would have to split out the individual images somehow.

No
I posted this answer yesterday and for some reason it did not show here.

a Tiff stack file is basically a stack of images but it needs to be converted to a binary coded file.

here is a place to read about how to do that. I have not done this before but it may work.
It looks as though it is a long process. you would need to reduce the pixels and and reduce the resolution.
can you post on or two of the images?
are you trying to convert an MRI ?

I would also like to be able to import SVG files but the current version of the software is the only one I can find on the website. Is there a plan to include this functionality in Layout? If so, when can we expect it?
Thanks

There would be no way to import SVG files into Layout. By their very nature, SVG files are already sliced images of a model.

What I think you are asking for is the ability to take svg files and convert them to a .b9j job file for printing?
