1.1 machine issue with Platform calibration/Help

Hi,
I am having a problem with my 1.1 machine trying to calibrate the platform.
When I try to calibrate it, the platform and vat does it's thing, then the platform goes down to the calibration position and I can hear it activate the bottom switch. Then, I tighten the screws and click on the next step to raise the platform. It won't raise.
I have to manually turn the lead screw about 1 turn, then, it comes off the switch and goes up. So, effectively, I can't calibrate the platform correctly.
What would cause this to happen.

It's possible for those switches to be tightened or turned a little crooked thus causing and early trigger. If you loosen the 2 screws that hold the switch in place from the back side of the machine, you should be able to wiggle the switch a little bit to get it into a position that it won't trigger when calibrating, and then tighten it back down.

Ni Matt,
I was under the impression that it had to activate that switch to know where zero was?

Sounds like the vat is moving to far. U can raise the z home a little and it won't go quite as far, if engageing the switch too soon.

Fixed it at 2 am.... when I get inspired ! Something got inside the black sensor socket... The Smaller red arm passes through it. If it does not sense it, it continues down and hits the switch at the bottom.

Ah, yes.. That can cause problems!

Edit: I was initially thinking you were talking about the limit switch not optical sensor
