KAT VAT ALUMINUM/GLASS remaining inventory

Greeting folks,
As many of you may remember, I put countless hours of work back in 2013 creating a lightweight aluminum vat during the early open source days.
I promptly ended production when Mike provided his aluminum version..
Turns out the official B9Creations design was a bit limited.
Then the orange vat pretty much made these obsolete convenience wise..
However I still had remaining parts and took the time to assemble them.
I recently got permission to list these for sale here on the forum…

FEP SOLUTION? YES

GOODBYE PDMS forever!
Such a fantastic breakthrough and relief IMO.
FEP never clouds, and if ever scratched, can easily be replaced.

These vats are ROCK solid, lightweight, and all glass is scratch resistant Borosilicate glass.
Built to last forever!

I currently have 19 left, (16 update) first come first serve..
They also work with PDMS. But with this tech it's now officially a thing of the past.

Email me for more details. K94b9vats@gmail.com

Thanks so much everyone for your support in the early days!
Kind regards, Kirk

(Apparently I lost my old account and waiting for new user "kirk" to clear moderators...)
email still the same as way back in 2013 k94b9vats@gmail.com TRUSTED SELLER!

OK, here's my first test print: B9Creator V1.1 @ 50XY resolution Z=25.4 micron slices:
Stock B9Creator resin settings, no strain on machine, smooth as silk, it's a success!

A few more images: Yep 100% FEP, plus one small preparation step.

But well worth it, prints are flawless! Factory print settings with B9 Emerald.

This just works, this is as good as it gets at 50XY on an older lower resolution Version 1.1 machine..: )
I wish I had a version 1.2 machine so I could print some 30XY...

Wow TAJs total co-incidence.. I just made an offer on the v 1.2 on ebay for that EXACT amount. Strange co-incidence!
I will PM you for more details..
Thanks-

Yes Robert, those were the originals.. (without plating)..I still have a few myself..
But yes FEP would work in that vat as well.
The non-plating thing was supposedly the limitation for casting resins though on the Double Dogs?

There is a special trick to making it happen though.. : )

The model was not that great to begin with- but look at the sharpness of the crown!
That concludes the testing...100% success wraps up this years long project with a bang.

Hi Adrian I'm Sergio the pizza flexvat inventors, now I have the same pdms problems with a new printer that i bought last year, is the DWS XFAB 2800 HD, is it a very good machine for precision and resolution, but is very poor on castable resins over most because is it impossible to use third parts resins, and also for the lack of a fep vat, it use still the pdms in the vat and the vat are very easy to break because also the quality of construction is very poor are made in glued methacrylate and very often the glue crystallize, and the resins in the vat goes out! So I decided to made a new one in fep But the drum flexvat solution is too much complicate because the vat is very big is 32x22,50 cm, so I decided to find some fep with glue film in order to glue on the bottom of the vat trade, but was impossible till to now to find these bigger size of fep sheets.Do get same material to supply me for that or could you very kindly suggest me where i could buy it?
Thanks for help SERGIO ROSITAGIOIELLI

I have decided to sell my version 1.2 because I don't use it due to Core in use now. Has been kept under a dust cover since taken out of use.

Have several vats one double Dog vat with glass window. Some silicone for re coating if needed. Two or three lamps with some time on them. Orange calibration plates. One new bottle of B9 red resin, if you want it.

Buyer pays shipping or can be picked up. I'm in Columbia, SC.

$1,000.00 Has cooling fan mod (external) too keep electronics cooled. Taken very good care of this machine.

Robert
