Re: x-axis motor replacement

well I guess i'll need to find a source for lamp replacements and order 1 or 2 for the eventual failure. Any suggestions there?

Re: are the core 530 and 550 adjustable XY?

 dang. I was hoping the 530 could also do maybe 50 xy at a larger print area.

Re: First print with emerald was a disaster

as I stated in my first reply I believe you need to raise your MSM when switching from cherry to emerald. I didn't take the best notes during my switch but I recall it being necessary. Something like +1.5 or even 2 to my MSM when printing in cherry:red. I think mine was at 1.7 and for red and I'm ov...

are the core 530 and 550 adjustable XY?

do the core series machines have adjustable xy resolution like the creators? for instance our v1.1 can do 50 micrometer xy or 70 with a larger build area, is this possible with the core series machines?

Re: First print with emerald was a disaster

Did you change material settings from red to emerald? what machine are you using? I believe I recall something about bumping the MSM up by like 1.5 when switching from red to emerald but I may be wrong, or that may be machine specific.

Re: x-axis motor replacement

b9 support helped me out and gave me that answer metalcaster, thank you. ordered and waiting. I'm worried our lamp will be due for replacement soon as well, do you know if the lamp for the v1.2 will work in the v1.1 projector? or if the old projector on the 1.1 can be completely swapped for the 1.2'...

x-axis motor replacement

well, of course. I just got our v1.1 machine dialed in. I'm about to buy it from work, I've got 2 minis left to print and paint for my D&D crew, and the x-axis motor grinds out because someone got the rails dirty with resin slop and didn't tell me. :x :x :x anyone know where to find the x-axis m...

Re: supports arrangement

this is one of those things I've learned from plastic model building. rather than try to cut a sprue (or in this case a support) off a plastic piece as flush as possible give yourself a millimeter or two of sprue between where you cut and the model itself. this way you can file the excess (carefully...

Re: Core to 1.2 slicing

you could do all your support work in the core program and then save as an STL and import to creator. if you save a sliced file and then change the supports in layout the change won't be reflected in the sliced file...so how is that different? I feel like I'm misunderstanding your question.

Re: Test Print

you may have the wrong software installed. the program for doing layouts for the core models is called "B9 Create", "B9Creator" is for the earlier models and does not have support for the core series.

Re: PDMS replacements

Hello, where do I get the FEP and how many microns does it have? will it serve for the VAT of the core 530? Thanks I'm pretty sure there's absolutely no reason to do that. From what I understand the core series don't have the same issue of clouding PDMS, or having to recalibrate after recoating (si...

Re: Need help for calibration machine v1.1 XY50m

i'm not sure but I think adjusting balance, and fade, and reducing your MSM slightly might get you in the sweet spot. i'm not sure if this is correct but it seems like your F+ row is oversized, while the F- row is under average, and your B+ might be a little bigger than B- on average, and maybe afte...

Re: the rings do not come out.

we ramp to 1450, and hold it there for like 1-3 hours I believe it varies depending on our first casting temp in the morning. You may want to consider checking your temp manually as some have stated; the actual temperature in the kiln can sometimes be much lower (50degrees F) than your temperature s...

Re: the rings do not come out.

The burning out of the resin before casting was not thorough enough. Leaving obstructions or ash in the flask that prevent a complete casting. Try adjusting your ramp schedule, increasing airflow in your kiln, or vacuuming/blowing your flask clean of ash before pouring metal in it.

Re: High Speed Printing using v1.2 Might be Possible?

Basically the vats that the v1.# use have too much surface adhesion, especially if they aren't given fresh oxygen regularly. that's why they slide the print off the surface rather than just pull up, and why the sweeper squeegees the surface clean of print resin between each layer. because the resin ...
