Re: issues with supports

they were crisp and easy to read, but as I mentioned, the PDMS is has quite noticeable dents in the logo triangles that are effecting the print quality on them as of this last print. regardless, due to the PDMS I will be focusing again. but in the meantime if I can get the squares calibrated then wh...

Re: issues with supports

I finally got all of the outside cubes to not be under 5mm... now they are just a hair bigger. here's the calibration print, with measurements taken. the PDMS is starting to dent in the B9 triangles, until this print the logo had been coming out quite well on all of them except for the triangle in t...

Re: So few posts on Core series...

I finally found something that referenced the vat life. 600+ print hours or 1 year.. that's really great to hear, I'm still trying to make my 1.1 play nice all the time and it's a bit frustrating this core series is definitely looking like the silver bullet, between not having to re-do vats, and the...

Re: So few posts on Core series...

do the core series printers require recoating vats with PDMS when worn out still? or have they found a better way?

Re: issues with supports

I adjusted the slope a bit after more carefully measuring the calibration print center block, seems to have improved a bit more. what does the z-axis backlash setting alter? I noticed in the old settings (calibrated by my predecessor) it was changed to .254 from the default. but the change to defaul...

Re: inconsistant casting quality w/emerald

100 degrees can make the difference between reaching burning point and just getting the material to break down and still leave some ash and not fully burnt material behind. Exceeding the burning temp is making sure that all material is completely reduced as much as possible. Just like 10 degrees can...

Re: issues with supports

I don't believe we have changed the tray speed. Here are the results of the print that ran last night, and the settings responsible, as well as the calibration print I did just before it (I adjusted fade a bit based on the output from that calibration print from -0.25 to the -0.15 settings you see u...

Re: issues with supports

the test print at msm 2.5 came out well, adjusted the fade and balance close to what they were and got better sizes on my calibration squares, just waiting for it to cure so I can check if it's dialed in or I need another adjustment. We've never been able to get small supports to work, only heavy an...

Re: First print using FEP and custom made build table

How does the FEP compare as far as recoating is concerned? does it wear out as quickly as the PDMS? it seems much easier to replace, peel & stick vs. pour and bake.

Re: my problom

I also had an issue on an older software version and different computer where putting a video to full screen on my monitor made the projector display the monitor screen's output. It doesn't do it anymore i'm not sure if that was a software fix or changing computers did it for me, but I would suggest...

Re: Better mesh creation settings for stl file

it's easy to forget because we focus so much on the z resolution, but just as z layers are built with pieces of a certain thickness, the x and y shape of each layer is built using blocks or squares of a certain size, so we can see layers in all 3 dimensions, building the object, if your x, y, and z ...

Re: issues with supports

I have run calibrations, and am still running calibrations to make sure it's as perfect as can be. The projector focus/calibration are on target, my MSM was at 2.3, I went back to default settings and that calibration (as expected) was a failure. I have been adjusting the MSM only by .5's and reache...

issues with supports

I am using a 1.1 machine and having issues in yellow and emerald resins with supports not building to the full height, they get within a MM of the area to be supported and then seem to stop printing resulting in overall failure of the model. no matter what size support I use it just doesn't make the...
