I bought zbrush early in the year but it is definitely a huge learning curve. It does seem extremely powerful, I just haven't yet taken the "yureka!" tutorial that makes me get to where I can make anything usable. For rings and such, I typically model in Matrix (rhino) and import to zbrush and try a...
The z platform seems to move without sticking but I will make sure and re-lubricate. I think i was cautious about how much 3in1 oil I was putting on when assembling the machine. I will try to adjust that and try again. It does make a weird sound more towards the center of the lead screw, hard to des...
I'm also having attachment problems. I bought 3 bottles of cherry resin (ugh) hoping it would work really well and now I wish I would have bought a little more red before they went off of sale. I think i've tried 2-3 times; none attached. Once default settings, one with suggested longer initial time...
Here are some rubber channel type like the one we got with the machine that may work...? I would like to get a replacement on hand myself. Mine slips off very easily but so far have only used Mike's resin. What I did to prevent them falling off during printing is actually dip the rubber strip in the...
I am having the same problem. It seems to look ok during printing but after i cured it it is really oval. I will try the overlift thing. Is that in the printer cycle settings? Do you not need a center support bar with that setting enabled?
Just recently finished assembling the machine and it seems to work great so far! I havent experimented any custom settings yet other than default but these are the few prints I have so far. Any suggestions on improving quality would be appreciated. Printed with B9 Red default settings. 75 micron xy ...
I can't remember what investment we bought (i will find out and get back to you) I think it has "Kerrcast" on the box so maybe satin cast. I found a picture of what I was talking about vs the before-cast b9 printed ring. The roughness sands off but I still hate that it is there. We are really lookin...
So..... is this a bad idea? Has anyone else had any fire issues? Lunakov, how was yours set up? Was there no ventilation or something? Sounds scary considering this is something most people will be doing unattended. Maybe we should invest in timers as well. Good thing I just changed the batteries on...
Any progress on this upgrade? Looking to get the machine soon and would like best resolution possible out of the prints. I plan on using it for jewelry casting and need the best possible quality.
Is there much different testing that is needed with the Cherry vs regular? I am about to purchase the machine and probably going with the kit version. Just gotta purchase the resin separately but obviously want best quality.... Anyone getting really good casting results (other than shown above) with...
