PDMS clouding

Yes, kind of :) On old d535 it works just with plain M4 screws - three of them could hold the weight of projector. But for D912HD probably not - too heavy.

How to adjust the luminance of D912HD

Well, yes. But changing MSM will just lower the actuall exposure. No lamp power management hiden here. So if it was 2.2 originally and he will lower msm to say 0.7, real exposure will be 2.2x0.7 = 1.54. I just specially checked it - yes, software (1.7.2) should allow you to tune cure time up to 3 di...

Also I do believe that software will allow you to make more detailed settings like 0.867 seconds, 2,138 seconds and so on.

PDMS clouding

Well I told this some time ago, maybe half a year, or more. SO +1 here. I do not use water nor iso never to clean vat - only paper towels. Also I'm trying not to overcure and place angled supports. That's basically most important things to increase PDMS life. Can't say for sure how much it lasts, bu...

About print deformed and PDMS layer

Same here as everyone :) First tried MJR and BAM - PDMS is broken :) You should use heavily pigmented, or at least stock pigmented. Not forget to shake it before putting in VAT. and of course lower the cure times heavliy. Also good advice is to start with simple objects. Lets say pyramid or some ball.

Cherry Casting - 1st Try

One of my jewellers here, in Ukraine found following settings good for casting B9R resin. KerrCast 2000 investment. One hour on 150 Celsius, one hour on 570 Celsius and finally few hours (2-3) on 700 Celsius and then back to 570C for casting. What do you think of it? If bamping up initial temperatur...

Best resin for sharp detail & durability?

Also make sure to check MakerJuice SubG+ (not so hard on PDMS) and probably FunToDo (I haven't received really good prints with it, but overall result was extremely sharp).

Projector 2nd focus plane full of stars!

That's simply dust in the lens assembly. Not a critical thing - my old-good v1.1 (with 2280+ hours to date on it) is full of such a "stars" :)

Costs to Print

It's simple. Calculate the electricity costs for your region, printer with host computer "eats" around 400 watt. After that calculate the resin price delivered to you and divide it to the volume of your model (actually you should divide by 1000 and then multiply by the volume in cm3). Other factor i...

Software v1.7.2

Quote from mikej on August 21, 2014, 04:33 If it's related to power management it should. It should also help with certain Windows XP lost comm issues, if that was your OS? Yes, I got WinXP (Likely sp2 or less). and that problem is likely gone. Last time I had it month ago but that was caused by th...

Who said lamp will last less than 2000 hours?

Here is me printing still on the very same original lamp. 2190+ and counting :) Other than very prolonged print times and some unevennes in the light I can't see why I need to change it :) I ordered new lamp but really curious just to see what will happen next. http://www.b9c.com/forum/files/uploads...

No matter how good u think u are

Well I can honestly say that I haven't this. Never in my 1+ year practice. But of course I did a lot of other dumb things like haven't opened the cap from lens, once I got print which was fully not in focus, blurred - I somehow touched the lenses and it screwed few degrees. I haven't noticed that, o...
