She just measured the machine, cut out 5 panels (4 sides and top) then taped them together with the 2 inch wide clear plastic packaging tape (she used cheap curtain that was 4 dollars, said it was to thin and needed the corners reinforced, that's why the 2in tape). I was going to be her pattern, but...

Projector exposure settings?

As always, thanks for the quick response. Only at this a couple of days and feel like my working knowledge is getting there. As far as settings go I can't experiment much because of the lack of understanding of all the terms in the settings dialogue box. It would be great if one of your user/pros co...

Vat cleaning question

They are all grayed out. I kind of need a walk through here. Thanks. Can't select any of the times. Do you have to do this for all 500 plus layers, one at a time? Never mind. Hate clicking around and screwing up this or any stuff I am not familiar with, but finally clicked "Duplicate" and worked my ...

Vat cleaning question

Would it make any difference to model the prongs a little smaller diameter and longer, and get rid of the taper (6 degrees) done because the spindle has same taper on the milling machine. Thanks for all the help. I realize that there is going to be some trial and error here, but what do u recommend ...

Thanks "Bitter", Robert here from GV forum. Got the Ketsup (-2 spelling) bottle as soon as u posted. Great idea, used with my first build. How's the resolution for u on micro prong models. Maybe we can share info on settings.

Vat cleaning question

At this point is there any thing I can do with settings to get better of crisper micro prongs with the red at 50 x 50 printing. See attached picture of first build. Also is there anyway to know when a piece is cured (no tacky surface etc.)? prongs are rounded, almost bulb shaped as opposed to tube l...

Vat cleaning question

Well I have had, what I consider to be a successful first print. Yeah!. Now question: In the list of items to have on hand distilled water is listed, but in the wiki directions for cleanup there is no mention of when it is to be used. Second question: having oily or white residue on the vat after cl...

I'm asking this question in a second place on the forum. Wanting to start my first print. Printed grid for 50 micron print. Went through the projector calibration just to make sure wasn't changed in shipping (thanks for the assembly and calibration) but when I put the printed grid in the vat to chec...

I'm in the last batch. Like all the improvements since fund raiser closed. I will be patient, I think since there are over a thousand people that pledged money I am just going to have to wait. Think I was one of the last 25 to jump in before close of business.
