Re: Back of my model

I would print "snap to floor" make sure back and disc are all planar. If the object is very thick it can suffer from over cure and some items can release from the build table. The red disc are to keep the print on the build table. When printing snap to floor and the item is over 1.5mm in t...

Re: Introducing Surface Finish and Queue Software Features for the Core Series & B9Create

Slicing times are quite a bit longer and saving is longer (larger files). Print times remain the same. Choose what ever slice thickness is available. Recommended or other.

You need to contact others that use your machine and see if any of them are using the resin.

Re: b9 creator ver 1.2

What are u showing as lamp hrs.?

Go ahead and up the MSM to 1.2 and see what it gives u. This will increase all your settings by equal amounts of 20% (exposures, etc.).

Re: b9 creator ver 1.2

What is your setting now? How long have your prints been taking? If u get the test print done and it's good you should not have to change any of the settings unless u change the lamp or the projector.

Re: Formlabs Castable Wax Resin Settings on B9 Core

Been casting all the B9 castables since the beginning. I am now casting almost daily using Emerald Green. This may not be for everyone but based on my work and the fact that I use to heat cure prints I have now gone to this burnout. Using nothing but Ultravest Max, a broken arm casting machine, a 8 ...

Re: Tethon porcelain resin

Won't hurt the vat itself but the particles may scratch the surface of the PDMS and if it does it will cause the light to be deflected or scattered and may give u a failed print. Worst case is u have to re coat the vat.

Re: Tethon porcelain resin

If you use the ceramic material on a Core machine and u scratch the surface of the DuraVat it will be toast. Not covered by warranty. May cost u 1k for a new vat.

Re: Formlabs Castable Wax Resin Settings on B9 Core

Has to be your caster. Myself and many others cast the green and yellow almost daily with great results. I am now using Ultravest Max and love the low dust and smooth surface I get. Since I cast using a 35 yr old broken arm casting "machine" (prob cost $250.00 at the time) and a small 8 x ...

The Storm

Hope all our friends are safe. Our NC neighbors are getting some rough weather for the last few hrs. Over 275k without power, over 200 water rescues and almost 200 waiting in Newborne, NC alone. We should be getting the rain and wind by tomorrow and is expected to rain until Sunday or later. I'm in ...
