grey on B9creator?

Will we ever get, or has someone figured out, the exposure settings for the Grey resin for the B9Creator series printers?

Yellow prints pocked

I am printing some coins for a customer and keep having an issue where the coins have a "pock mark", "divot", "bubble", "hole"....whatever you want to call it, roughly center of the coin each time. I've checked my models and slices for the print and everything...

Cast it in pieces and solder or use a laser to assemble it.

If you do this, you can use a few different colors of metal for different parts, that could look really impressive.

Re: printing problems... help

you may want to make sure that your z axis rod is clean, if it is happening at a specific height every time that seems like a failure of the z mechanism at some point. it's strange that you haven't heard back from support.

Re: PDMS replacements

yes I've been having a lot of success with the FEP I'm going to recoat my vats just to put larger pieces of FEP so I can use the 100 xy resolution to print some tabletop terrains and other big stuff that i can live with lower resolution on.

can't install b9Create v1.0.24

Antivirus is blocking the installation of the current B9Create software version. Is this kind of thing usually resolved over time and can it wait? or do I need to turn off my antivirus software and install ASAP?

Re: Test print quality questionable

AK, am I to understand that the sharpest projected grid should be on the bottom of the vat window rather than the top where we place the calibration paddle? I feel like this would be hard to really accomplish for mere humans, is there a trick I'm not thinking of, or am I just misunderstanding?

Re: 1kg = a Liter?

about $0.20. I'm estimating though. to find this I found the number of ml in a kg. for water which is close to the same SG as resin it's 1000 ml to a kg. divide the cost of a KG of resin by 1000 ml to get the cost. I would add a bit to the cost though since you lose some resin during cleanup too. Al...

that would make sense. but I wouldn't want to include support structure etc. in a quote, unless I was trying to give myself a good amount of wiggle room; or punish a demanding customer  .

Re: 1kg = a Liter?

we charge customers a flat rate for prints rather than according to how much resin we use. that way we can give a quote immediately on customer inquiries rather than "well you have to send it and we have to see how much it will take to print".

Re: Life Time of New DuraVats

The print time for the test print varies a bit depending on the resin used. We used emerald (because that's what we use) and it took under an hour at the recommended setting. the test print has some ring halves, a class ring top, and some neat doddads that show off the quality of work the printer ca...
