Partial Prints...

Hi Robert, Yes, sorry, I should have included. I've been running the 1:1 mix with a 31.75 slice. I'll have to post my settings when I get home. They're very similar to yours. The thickness on those parts are very thin, I was printing for someone that wanted some help. Those fins are only about .3- ....

Partial Prints...

When I fill the build plate full, I'm getting partial prints on the side closest to the Z axis of the build platform. There's also some misprints to the right as well. I'm wondering if this is due to not enough power from the lamp. The items in the center seem to build just fine. Any thoughts on wha...

What software are you using for modeling this piece. If you're using Rhino, I'd run the " ClippingPlane " command and look at where your supports are actually needed based on how you're orienting it to the build plate.

Z axis Linear Bearing Upgrade

I've had mine installed for a couple days now. A most noted difference in how the table moves on the "Z". I was getting some sticking before with everything being much more loose than I wanted. Sounds smooth now and I've noticed a difference in my most recent prints.

Z axis Linear Bearing Upgrade

Quote from vchmiele on March 18, 2014, 18:51 Envisiontec doesn't do any "feathering" of the voxels. This is pure marketing BS. The smooth surface is a direct result of a higher resolution. Envisiontec is famous (infamous) for creating a fictionalized account of what their machines actually do. The ...

Quote from Robert Howle on October 12, 2013, 10:08 Do like Perpetual suggests. The ones on the left are for base layers and the vat open and close on the rigtht are for all subsequent layers. There is no manual. Mike is working on something now i believe. The whole idea of DIY and opensource ventur...

1st prints-looking good

Hey gang, Haven't been over here on the B9 forum, so I thought I'd pop in and post some pics of my first prints. Been very happy with the results so far. Have some fine tuning to do and waiting for the new resin. Kevin ;) http://www.b9c.com/forum/files/uploads/2013/06/415hn-IMG_20130615_230149.jpg h...

Macro lens exploration of detail

Quote from mikej on March 29, 2013, 04:01 Turns out that slicing thinner then the resin's tuning actually makes for softer features. B9R-1-Red is general purpose and best used with 75-100 microns slices. You can go to 50 micron with it, but much thinner than that and all you get is extra exposures ...
