V1.2 for sale

I've had my B9C V.12 (with HD projector) for several years and due to the inability to calibrate the build platform correctly, I could only ever print on one side of the platform. Even with the ability to print on one half of the platform only, the balance was off and even with the highest calibrati...

Re: Prints fail after several layers - first prints

I've fired up this printer again and I've run the calibration again starting from scratch. It still has these same issues. Is there any way to increase the balance past +1.0?

Re: Prints fail after several layers - first prints

Unresolved so far (based on the previous calibration prints): - The balance needs to be increased, but its already at the maximum allowed value - The slope needs to be decreased, but its already at the minimum allowed value - The F's aren't printing properly The good news is that I have been able to...

Re: Prints fail after several layers - first prints

UPDATE! Much better results! Remaining issues: Balance needs above +1.0 but can't, and "F's" not printing properly. And slope needs to go lower, but can't! I've printed 12 calibration prints with a new build table and vat. I adjusted balance gradually all the way to +1.0 and the squares on...

Re: Prints fail after several layers - first prints

Ok great, thanks for the info. I assumed the values would be the same for 70 as they were for 30. I really hope it works! Any suggestions on how much to increase MSM and how I should change the balance based on the images? I'm going to wait for my new build table and vat before I begin experimenting.

Re: Prints fail after several layers - first prints

If its undercured, then how do I fix it? Change the MSM? Or change the exposure values?

Re: Prints fail after several layers - first prints

I totally forgot that the Mac had earlier done a near perfect calibration print a week or so ago (see post #15 of this thread for the pic with PC on top and Mac on bottom). (Thought that was at 30 ┬Ám xy resolution) I also noticed that the projector exposure times are equal to what the job info says....

Re: Prints fail after several layers - first prints

I determined that the reason why the build table had a "rough" frictiony movement when I loosened its 4 screws was because the two front black legs where the screws mount onto were too inward pointing and grinding on the red piece. With no screws attached, and by trying to fit the red tabl...

Re: Prints fail after several layers - first prints

Based on the picture from below, now my theory is it must be the build table, not the balance.

https://i.imgsafe.org/f485b03a44.jpg https://i.imgsafe.org/f485bacb87.jpg In the below pic, see the red on the right (the B+ side)? Is it because light is too bright there, or because table too close to PDMS there. This was layer one or two, but you can see this effect up to layer 8. https://i.imgs...

Re: Prints fail after several layers - first prints

I recalibrated the build table, then the projector. But this time to 70 micron XY. I then tried the calibration print using the PC. Nothing appeared on the build plate. So I tried with the Mac, and it half-worked. I will not try with the PC again since its never had a successful print. The B+ side o...

Re: Prints fail after several layers - first prints

NEW UPDATE Looking at the measured times (from my recorded videos side by side) and comparing to the "job info," it looks like Mac is over-exposuring by 2 to 3 times the amount specified in the "job info," while PC's exposure times are correct. Yet PC's prints are much worse! May...

Re: Prints fail after several layers - first prints

Watching the PC vs Mac print videos side by side, the Mac exposure time is 2.5 to 3 times longer than PC, though the period of time between vat repositionings is basically equal (ie. the amount of time between each layer is basically the same). In fact on the Mac, I notice that the vat begins moving...
