Re: b9 creator ver 1.2

By setting them both to 0.95, you are basically saying that your grid calibration was about 5% too small. That's not much and it's hard to see even using the plastic grid pattern. Normally one might be set to 1.0 and another axis .95, for example, really meant to correct any errors in the projected ...

Re: Serious Settings Issue

Changing MSM will only affect the size a small amount, most of the size error comes from the overall image size not quite right (calibration of zoom).

Re: b9 creator ver 1.2

You say it's off, but you don't say by how much. You say the image is sharp (that's good!) but you don't say if it was exactly the correct size.
It's hard to what to suggest without knowing the error amount.

Re: b9 creator ver 1.2

How far off is it? It might be the projected image isn't the right size and you need to recalibrate that first.

Re: Formlabs Castable Wax Resin Settings on B9 Core

After 6+ years of B9C selling high wax resins (Red, Cherry, Emerald, Yellow), some have finally copied it (or are at least attempting to) and then they market it as something "new". (Because many folks will always try the latest "new" thing even though ours costs less.) We don't ...

Re: Exposure settings for Emerald Green

Hi Aaron, A low energy printer like the Photon will print OK with certain resins that do not require much energy to cure. But to use it to print with Emerald (or any quality castable resin) will require MUCH longer exposure times. I am not familiar with your current exposure times, but for Emerald, ...

It's designed for 405 nm but will likely cure from 385 nm as well.

You can try tweaking the focus a bit if the lettering is not crisp enough. Sounds like you're on the right track.

Re: Yet another frustrating printing problem

I think the projector needs tuned. Fade/Balance/MSM/Slope, all could have been affected by your move or just the process of the blub aging.

Re: Where can i download the installation software for V1.2?

If the software download page isn't working (should be now?) here's a direct link.

Direct link: https://www.b9c.com/hubfs/B9Creator_Upd ... v1_8_6.exe

Sorry for the slow response. Looks like a webupdate on Monday afternoon was responsible.

Re: 1kg = a Liter?

Only when the density of the liquid is 1.0 (same as water).

Resin is a bit more dense, so 1 kg of resin is slightly less than 1 liter of resin.

Re: Could regulating voltage reduce Random lines on prints?

The Core series has built in regulation so it won't need anything else, unless your power drops out. If you live somewhere where the power cuts out often, a basic UPS (uninterruptible power supply) would be a good idea for any printer. They are readily available and might save a print if the power's...

Re: Life Time of New DuraVats

See the custom material options in the B9Create software (you need to be connected to the printer). It's possible to damage a vat with a 3rd party resin, but primarily if it contains abrasives (ceramics, etc.). So yes, 3rd party resin damage to a vat is not covered by warranty but probably not a ris...

Yes, there is a test print included in the printer's library, so you can print right out of the box.
