Re: Minor printing issue

Well, it's doing it again even after a software re-install. the problem is sporadic. Sometimes it prints perfectly, the next time it will leave a few layers off at the end of the print. As a new test, I ran two identical prints back to back. one printed correctly and the next one didn't. and, someti...

Re: Minor printing issue

It seems to be a software issue. I reinstalled the software and so far so good. since the last layer had a mirror finish, I had a feeling it was the software. I also noticed that the build plate wasn't going as low as it should when it lowered for the vat fill. I'll let you know if it happens again....

Re: Minor printing issue

printer-Creator V 1.2 firmware V 1.8.6 It's been working perfectly since day one. Has only done this on the last 3 prints. However, I ran a new print last night, and it didn't do it. Printed perfectly, so it's sporadic. Go figure. I guess it's like being sick and on the day of your Dr. appointment, ...

Minor printing issue

Hopefully this is just a software issue. Suddenly, the last few layers of my projects aren't printing. This occurs on the highest piece that is in the print. Everything prints perfectly with the exception the last, probably 10 to 15 layers. obviously I can add wax to complete the model, but this sho...

Re: X acxis motor

I have the same question. I ordered a new X axis motor. I assume installation instructions will come with it. If not, when I affix the top arm onto the motor shaft, what position should the arm be in when I tighten the allen screws? Should the tray be engaged into the sensor at the end or should the...

Re: problem with Z axis

I know this post is a year old, but your z axis screw is bent and has a wobble. I had to order a new z axis motor and fortunately the screw was perfectly straight. My prints used to look like yours and now they are perfect. I'm sure you've already solved the problem but this may help someone else wi...

How to tweak settings

I have a B9 creator. If I want to increase the duration of layer exposure, (On the models not the base) which number or numbers do I increase? Right now I use emerald green but I get rounded edges and warping of some prongs. I think increasing exposure time would harden each layer enough to greatly ...

Re: Red and Cherry mix

Obviously I was mistaken. Is the mix still the best rather than just use the cherry by itself or will the cherry make better prints? Just working on the best prints possible. I have no issues with casting the red resin. I can cast it all just fine. Thanks.

Red and Cherry mix

I've been using green resin for about 2 years now, but have printing issues of rounded edges and prongs, no matter which way I orient the model. It's not a big deal because I can touch up the models with a little wax. Now, in case you're wondering, I have my v1.2 printer calibrated perfectly and I d...

Re: Z screw wobble

I have the 1.2. I will probably order a new motor which hopefully will have a perfectly straight screw. My print today was actually a little better after messing with the screw, but the print can still be improved. Thanks for your input.

Z screw wobble

First, I love my B9 Creator. I've had it for 3 years and all of my prints have a rhythmic wave to them. Finally determined that the wave pattern is made by a slight wobble in the z-axis screw. I've tried adjusting it and it seems like the very slight bend to the screw is in the middle so it can't be...

Re: Yet another frustrating printing problem

My prints are once again perfect. In fact, they may be a touch better than when I first set up the machine. I love it.

Thanks again, Mike and gang! :D :D :D

Re: Yet another frustrating printing problem

Mike, I've made adjustments in balance and fade. After three test prints, I'm almost perfect. All the squares are the same size. there is a little undercutting under the F+ at the top and the minus symbol doesn't print next to the F at the bottom. Don't know what tweaking still needs to be done but ...

Re: Yet another frustrating printing problem

I'll check the build platform for flatness before and after it's screwed tight. Here are some pictures that may clarify my problem. You can see that even in the last picture where the model stuck to the build platform well, the detail on the print is not good. Guess I'll go back to green unless some...

Yet another frustrating printing problem

Originally when I set up my machine 3 years ago, I got perfect prints. I had no issues whatsoever whether I used red mix or green. Absolutely no problems. I moved my machine to a different retail location and now I struggle with just about every print. Seems like no matter how many times I calibrate...

Re: New bulb won't work, something else is wrong

I'm inclined to agree. I'm going to try using a laptop tomorrow with a VGA connection. I have a feeling that will solve the problem.

Re: New bulb won't work, something else is wrong

I finally got the new bulb to work. Have done a couple of prints and the prints are garbage. It's like the settings have changed or the light isn't as strong or something. Three years ago when I first bought my printer, I never had any of the problems so many post in here. But now I feel like a frus...
