Re: New life

Interesting. I haven't used my printer in a couple years. Mostly becasue I had some issues with prints coming out shorter than they were supposed to be, and nothing I tried seemed to make a difference. (Also, really annoyed that B9 no longer supports the B9C, and won't even develop settings for the ...

Re: Need Mirror & tree support upgrade soon

I was informed while asking for settings for Grey/Slate resin that there will no further development on the B9 Creator or its software. Maybe that's changed, but not to my knowledge. There hasn't been an update to the software in years.

Slate Starter Settings

I'm presuming B9 Creator 1.2 settings are not forthcoming for the new Slate resin. If I were to get some and work out settings for myself, what would be a good starting point? I'm guessing the B9 Black settings, but I'd like to hear from somebody at B9who might have a better idea.

Re: Grey!

Well, at least now we can use the grey resin to 3d print the bus you're throwing B9Creator owners under.

Re: Grey!

Out of curiosity, is there a reason why it's not part of an update to the B9C software? (Or will it be included next update?)

Re: Gray resin compatability with 1.1/1.2 printers?

I have not had the cash on hand to spend ~$200 on a bottle to experiment with. I offered to do so if B9 threw a free bottle and a vat my way, but that didn't go anywhere.

That is not the issue; it's whether or not those numbers are actually coming, to which I've not gotten a definite answer.

Re: Gray resin compatability with 1.1/1.2 printers?

It will work in the 1.1/1.2, but B9C has not yet developed settings for anything other than the Core machines. Based on my contact with them over the issue, they felt that since it's main advantage in the Core would be speed for prototyping, there was no need to develop 1.1/1.2 settings, as the blac...

Re: Grey!

I don't believe that was there originally when Grey launched. I may be wrong about that, but I'd been checking the site weekly for several months looking for it to be released and never saw it.

Re: Grey!

Just to append what I've posted here, I got word on Facebook from B9 that they are looking into developing B9 Creator settings for the grey resin.

Re: Grey!

Given that it takes a lot of prints to dial in those settings from nothing, and resin is not cheap, that is a less than optimal situation. My irritation is only about 25% due to not being able to use the resin, and 75% the lack of communication from B9 that its new material would not be compatible w...

Re: Grey!

Nevermind. It seems B9 has no intention of putting out settings for the Creator. I had a feeling that the Core series would result in getting thrown under the bus.

Grey!

At long last, Grey is released!

Is there an ETA for the material settings (or a software update that includes it in the materials library) for the Creator v1.2?

The build area for the v1.1 and the version v1.2 are the same.

Probably because you said that.

Z-Axis Screw Cleaning

Anybody know what the z-axis screw on v1.2 is lubed with? I've seen lots of recommendations as to what to use, but nobody stating what is actually on there when you buy the machine. I'm trying to diagnose why my prints are now about ten percent shorter (but correct in the x and y) than they're suppo...

That's what I thought too. I can't see how the print would stick to the PDMS if the print is no longer touching it, unless the entire vat was filled with PDMS.
