bug in V1.8: mirrored stls cant be open right

Hi Mike I think I have found a bug in the 1.8 software. I often print parts for action figures, means boots, hands and so on. So I always use mirrored parts for left and right side. As the supports go away when mirroring (don't know why?), I always make an stl file export and then load the original ...

z-Axis motor for v1.1 where to buy in Europe or USA

Can anybody help where I could buy a new z-stepper motor for my V1.1 kit. Can't find a link in the forum. My z motor has no more enough force to lift up the table. Is that a problem others have too? No such motor in Mikes shop too :-( Or can I buy the V1.2 z motor set too for my 1.1 kit? Many thanks...

Big holes in bigger prints

Hi all I have a problem when I print some small 1:3 scale boots. I always have strange missing areas in the model after printing. Has anybody an idea what it could be? I print with SPOT-A HT material. Can it be the dam of the vat? The settle time is 2,9s! At the end a photo of a well printed boot I ...

Re: New user.. Information about Projector Lamp

Hi, I am just now looking for a new projector lamp as my lamp exploded last evening. There were a lot of small pieces of the broken lamp in the projector. I opened the lamp module. You too can buy only a lamp and not the whole module. On the lamp is written SHP137, I googled it and there are differe...

What is the perfect PDMS leveling?

I always pour the PDMS into the Vat, then tilt the vat so that all the liquid is on the important side (not the deeper one). Then I place the VAT on an absolutely flat surface and let run the PDMS to the deeper side. At the same time, I take a flash light with 300 W and let cure it under the light d...

Calibration Build Table

Have you got the upgrade kit? If yes, you have to make the following: Remember to recalibrate before printing. Be sure to download the latest version of B9Creator software (v1.4 or greater). To complete the upgrade you must run B9Creator software and perform the following actions: Connect your power...

Not-your-ordinary-print. B9C printed RoboHand for 7yo boy and featured on local TV.

Hi tim, I make all my prints with Spot A HT. Unfortunately, it's too quite brittle. I made all my fingers of my 1:4 figure with this material, and if the hand falls down to the floor, the fingers brake away. They have diameter 3mm. It's too never so hard like ABS, you can make lines into the Materia...

Printing without projected slice pictures

Hi Mike My answer concerning the grid was wrong. I had this problem again, it printed with showed grid. Now I have found the issue. I stored the sliced file on my computer and checked it at the edit mode. All was ok. Then I stored it to the memory stick and went to the printer. There I printed the m...

Yes, ABS reacts very bad with resin. My slides broke like butter when I wanted to take them away after 3 months printing!

iso height lines not to see behind supports

Hi Mike Not sure wheter somebody else already posted this problem. If I make supports from the downside, the isolines (same hight contour lines) are no more to see behind the supports. If I want to make supports like mirrored, the isoarc lines are a great helpt to make the supports always on the sam...

I work with ZBrush. There you can save and load stl files very well. It's great to divide your part solution to a finer mesh. It's a bit difficult, but you can make hollow your models with zBrush. I always use ZBrush together with Rhino, of course both are not for free! I think Rhino and ZBrush woul...

Printing without projected slice pictures

No, there was no red grid, and no sclice-pictures, and the VAT moved, too z-axis moved like normal. The projector was on. I don't think it's a connection problem as I restarted the print after failing without changing the cables, and it started well with projecting the sclice pictures, then, again a...

Printing without projected slice pictures

Hi all I suddenly had the problem that two well sliced modells stopped to project (no more sliced pictures)after once 8mm and once 5mm, but not stopped the printers movement. I checked the slices, all right. The printer begins to print, and after the above written 5 or 8mm, the sliced pictures are a...

How to paint Spot A HT

Hello

I always have the problem that if I paint my 3D prints (after cleaning it in alcohol), the sprayed color don't gets well dry?
It always sticks after 3 days.

I painted it with Tamiya spray for plastics.

Has anybody a good primer for 3D printed parts in Resin?

Thanks

Mat
