edge of vat has light "leak"

I'm getting g a condition where the edge of the cat or build plate having a resin cured edge on every print as though light is being displayed there and building up a layer where nothing should be. Seems like a light shift.
How can I calibrate the system to take that away?

here is kind of an odd question having nothing really to do with the printer but I have a mesh object I bought and can't print because it's hollow. How do I make it solid?

Re: what causes this?

Interesting. No I doubt the vat surface is being exposed ever. I'll check the bottom of the new vat for smudges.

I had an issue with the vat and had to change it out. Figured everything would be perfect again after because the glass is spotless and the vat is new as well as the resin. What am I missing?

Re: sunken and fonts

I've cast this type ring with so many different combinations of spruing and burnout method that I just don't believe it's possible without it being wax. I'll just make molds of the resin from now on. I didn't want too but I guess it's a compromise I'll have to make. I'm not good at cutting molds:(. ...

sunken and fonts

I have great success with the core 550 and emerald resin but always have and still do have problems with championship style jewelry with sunken or even raised words in the design completing. Does anyone have the magic formula to get this style design to work with resin burnout? porsche fail.jpg This...

Re: inconsistant casting quality w/emerald

I can add some here, I have placed a dry flask of models into a 900* oven and then ramped directly to 1500 because one can with another resin in the oven required that treatment and the emerald went along for the ride in a different can. The emerald resin did fine with that abuse. Another thing is t...

print anomaly

Hi, my core 550 is really great but have a couple issues to resolve. These models are both printed standing up(crest) and laying down (ring) and the angle doesn't seem to like the core series? And the angle of the lines has me confused. Any ideas how I might be able to print something like this at a...
