Re: Open Source Files

I opened a ticket and have been informed that the open source files are not available.

I assume it‘s no longer open source. Not sure how that works, anyway, I just wanted to let others, interested in improving the software, know.

Dear B9Creator, I would like to add some features to the B9Creator software for the 1.2 model I still use. That would be something like undo, stl replacement, without shifting of supports and mirroring of supports. On github I can find the sources of 1.6 only. Is it possible to get the source of the...

Re: New life

Hello Mike, I use my own software which runs on a Raspberry Pi. The Raspberry runs some kind of printer server and is controlled from any browser over the network. The Raspberry just handles the print process, slicing is done withe the B9Creator software. https://brumbaer.de/3d-printing/38-daddys-2....

I still have my 1.2 and 1.1.5 (upgraded 1.0 to 1920x1080). I would love to replace them with a Core 930 and a Core 950, but being a hobbyist - no way. To be true while the Creators are not really part of the current crop, they still deliver good results and I'm more or less content. One of the thing...

Re: Replace projector d912hd

You can remove the lens and clean it. As far as I remember you can access the optical-system from the front without taking the projector completely apart. If the resin is still liquid it should be no problem, if it hardened you might be in trouble. If you find a replacement of the same type for your...

Re: Build Table is sticking on the Vat

Sounds like a missing waterfall, so that the build table wouldn't loose contact with the PDMS.

Wow,
looks like one of those convex 400nm wavelength accumulating mirrors with a liquid oxygen prohibitor container at it's focal point and driven by a fusion powered light source, that's what I call high tech.

Re: UV Curing Device

Lucky you. We are told, that we have something like this, but it is hardly ever seen - it's probably at your place all the time. On the other hand we can just spray our models with liquid soap, put them outside and after 5 minutes all resin is washed off - and this is summer. Disclaimer: Of course a...

Re: UV Curing Device

There is 19% tax plus somewhere between 4 and 7% customs plus transport from the US. iMakr sells them for 549€ inkl. taxes, I'm not sure that I could beat that by self importing. Even with a more expensive lamp I'll be at half that price. But to be true it is not really about the price - that was ju...

Re: UV Curing Device

I paid 139€ at a large electronics chain.

But I will most likely send it back.

Looking at the link provided by danfurlano I realised that it is specified with 12W power input, but it was advertised here as 48W lamp - can't really see how they get 48W out of 12W.

Back to the drawing board.

UV Curing Device

The advent of B9's UV curing device, reminded me that I wanted to do something about my UV curing solution. As many others I use two UV devices designed for curing nailvarnish facing each other - putting the object in the middle. This works, but takes some time and with 8 bulbs between the two, one ...

Re: Multi stacking

It's a pure software thing unrelated to the printer. So yes it could be done for the B9 printer. You could prepare your models like this your self. Lay out models and supports for each layer in the B9 software. Save them as stl. Stack them in your 3D software. Create platforms on which the layers re...

After quite a pause, I'm back using my B9 and doing very small miniatures ... again. http://brumbaer.de/Knights003.jpg This is no processed image, here you can see how it was taken. http://brumbaer.de/Knights004.jpg At a scale of about 1:300, a lot of those small walker thingies can be printed at on...

Re: Build Table keeps rising up

Too print large objects directly on the table, you will need good table and good projector calibration for a start. If your calibration print shows signs of curls, you will have no chance. It also helps, if the model is hollow (read not many consecuitve layers are full of voxels to be cured) It's co...

Re: Who can help me

Heretic, get your torch and pitchforks :) Lurkers method will work, because it addresses the two probably most common problems. Absolute distance between build table and PDMS, and uneven distance between table and PDMS regardless of cause. The major drawbacks of the method are: it's reproducibility ...

Re: Conversion rate on B9 resins?

I would not waste too much time on it, you will never get this right (read an exact value representing the resin used for that print). The number from the B9Creator software is a good indication, but it does not take into account that you might have a too high or too low MSM, off calibration, overcu...

Re: Anyone use this method to smooth finish their prints?

Does only work with models made from ABS.

So it will not work on cured resin. You would have to find a solvent for cured resin to do something similar.
