Auto support

Quote from b26354 on June 2, 2013, 21:30 Weelllll... it kind of does export STL in that they store the model and support data in binary STL format embedded in their .frm file - so, if you had access to a binary editor, you just need to remove a bunch of bytes from the start of the file (everything ...

DustDebris in projector?

Quote from mikej on March 18, 2013, 16:14 My solution was to give you a $10 credit on you next purchase of resin when you purchase the $6.50 gasket offered by C h ooch above. However, I haven't been giving out any coupon codes, since after February 31st. Is the old coupon code still good or...

Problem with X-axis

Just to give an update on this. Did a 3 hour print and everything worked just fine. Printed a mold that will save a friend of mine $3k in tooling costs.

I think not having the arm set screw on the motor shaft flat, was probably the contributing factor of my issue.

Problem with X-axis

Dry run went well. So in short ladies and gents. Just align the arm set screw to the motor shaft which ever position it is in, the arduino and optical switch will figure out the rest. You don't have to take apart your motor gearhead, like I did. Sorry if I put misinformation out there, I know enough...

Problem with X-axis

Ah ha. So, when I originally assembled it I guess I assembled it based off alignment of the arm and not the motor. They're plenty ways to skin a cat; I guess the arduino, the motor and arm are all in alignment and sync now. I'm going to do a dry run and see if the same things happens, then try a wet...

Problem with X-axis

Well, that was a quick fix! I took the motors gearhead off and clocked the output shaft gear 90 degrees and now it's in proper alignment with the arm.

I didn't see your post before I did it... my motor doesn't go 360 degrees it stops 180 regardless of a limit switch being activated.

Problem with X-axis

Yes, it has two set screws. Neither line up with the motor shaft flat. The arm set screws are at a right angle to the shaft flat when the motor is at it's open or closed condition. Maybe the arm is drilled wrong? the holes are on each side of the arm, were they supposed to be inline with the arm? Th...

Problem with X-axis

I've started having x-axis motor problems myself. The motor works fine when not loaded and the connections all check out fine. I've also tried reducing the speed of the arm, but it still occurs after awhile. I think the arm is slipping on the shaft, because the set screw holes don't take advantage o...

Whats your final cure solution?

I tried a reptile full spectrum bulb, the one that had more blue light in it (5.0) at first i didn't think it worked but later I had found some resin drips that were fully cured. I need to do further testing until I can confirm. I think the distance from the bulb is a contributing factor. http://www...
