Re: Vivitek D912HD RS232 Shutdown command

So I am going to answer my own question (again): the commands that I posted above are not correct. (I found them on google) the correct ones are: Set Power on: V99S0001 Set Power off: V99S0002 Get System Status: V99G0007 and it looks like that a simple USB to serial converter cable is not enough, I ...

Vivitek D912HD RS232 Shutdown command

Hi there, it may be a bit off topic, but I am trying to shutdown the vivitek D912HD via a USB to Serial cable (one one side USB, on the other side the 9pin female, when connecting the cable the computer installs a prolific usb to serial driver). I am using the software Termite 3.2 for sending the co...

Error with Supports

we have every once in a while issues with supports "breaking" between saving a Layout file and Slicing. Have a look at the following screenshot. Here, the supports were correct when they were added. After the file was sliced, we noticed the error and re-opened the file in the Layout Tool. ...

Re: B9 v1.1 now on ebay, starting at 1€ - shipping from Germany

Hi Keith,
indeed - by mistake the only allowed country was "Germany",
so I cancelled the auction and just started a new one with option of international shipping.

Here's the new URL: http://www.ebay.de/itm/-/231854863900?
The auction will still end on February 28th!

Layout Tool does not show network drives (win10)

Hi, I am not sure if it's a windows 10 only issue, but in the Layout tool (v. 1.8.0), when clicking on Model List => Add The "Open Model" file Dialog does not show any network drives. I am not talking about computers in the network, but pure network drives, that are existant and visible in...

@b0ris

looking at your video

it's no wonder that you have the z-banding. If your stepper motor is correctly positioned and firmly in place, then your threaded rod is awfully bent / out of shape.
There is no other option than to replace it.

Re: Big holes in bigger prints

maybe exposure time is also an issue? inside the hotspot of the projector lamp, the light is strong enough to cure, but when it comes to thinner walls with overhangs, the cure time is not long enough? just an idea... Remember, the lamp in your projector degrades over time, which makes it necessary t...

Re: can't get rid of z-banding inspite a lot of efforts

The glasses seem to be free of the lines. Is this so ? good observation! Not sure though, the pictures show more detail than the naked eye, since I used a macro lense. Here's a high resolution version of the side of the glasses: glasses.jpg I would say that the glasses show the same effect, just no...
