Anybody casting in the UK?

Hi everyone, I know I asked several months back, but I thought I would put it out there again with the hope there might now be more jewellers using the B9 in the UK. I'm looking to get some pieces for a ring cast into platinum and also 14ct gold. Is there anybody out there that can cast from the res...

Cracked glass 1.1 projectors

Hi everyone! Has anybody found a fix for the common problem of the glass cracking in the 1.1 projector? I know some of you guys have played around with removing the filters and colour wheel entirely with mixed results. I can recall at one point they were looking into getting replacement ones made up...

Re: Partial supports 1:1

Turn up to 1.4 even with a new lamp? That's a very long exposure time compared to what the machine should be getting. I have tried changing the pdms, same result. The projector is definitely in focus I took apart the case of the projector to inspect the inner filters. Neither of them appear cracked ...

Re: Partial supports 1:1

Hi Mike, We spoke over Skype RE this issue earlier in the week. I have emailed you the results of our conversation. Was hoping you could shed some more light on what is going on. Yes this was suggested previously so I made a new batch. This is a brand new mix from two un opened bottles and I have ma...

Re: Partial supports 1:1

Simplified the ring by removing any sort of detail. This is a very simple print. Still the supports dont print far enough to reach the model Software Version: Version 1.7.3 Copyright 2014 B9Creations, LLC http://www.b9creator.com Last Comm Port: COM3 Display Index: 1 Last Print Attempt Status: Compl...

Re: Partial supports 1:1

I went and used the test 1:1 materials from mikes settings. All that cured was the first one or two layers of the base. Nothing else. The layers that were on the build table were very soft and I pushed them off easily with my finger. Software Version: Version 1.7.3 Copyright 2014 B9Creations, LLC ht...

Re: Partial supports 1:1

Hey thanks for the tip on the msm. I didn't know that it wouldn't work for duplicate settings like that. Below are the pictures of the layout and the previously successful print. Many months ago I printed this model successfully so I know that it should work. Robert, I think the model is the same on...

Re: Partial supports 1:1

Thanks for the replys and the info about the z axis. When I first started having problems, one of my first thoughts was that it was z axis problems so I went through and completely rebuilt the z axis which has not seemed to make a difference. I can print fine with makerjuice but not with any of the ...

Re: Partial supports 1:1

So after an agonising wait for the new bulb to arrive it finally came.
I have printed again and the result is worse than before.
I have no idea what is going wrong. Everything has been followed down to the tee.

Is there something else wrong here?

Can the arduino be used for fan control?

So to help reduce pdms fogging, I was looking into mounting a usb fan which will blow directly over the pdms. I would just need it to switch off when the vat is in the open position so there's no ripple and disturbance on the surface of the resin. Is it possible to use the arduino to switch the fan ...

Partial supports 1:1

The first photo is with new pdms. A slight improvement. I aborted the print when I could see it failing to completely print the supports. The second print is with the msm on 1.2. Once again aborted when the supports failed to print. Is there anything else I can do to test whether on not it's the bul...
