Re: not connected to printer

Re: not connected to printer

I'm pretty sure i've isolated it to an issue with the computer. I do notice the arduino is connected to the projector, is the B9 software looking for the projector through the Arduino USB connection, or the VGA connection? That is my only other part on the machine that might be the point of disconne...

Re: not connected to printer

It is not seeing the projector as a monitor and cannot detect. I switched my cords for my monitor and the projector, both work fine for my monitor. i'm worried the VGA port on the projector might have gone bad? i might try loading the b9 software on another computer and see if that works with the HD...

Re: not connected to printer

Metalcaster, what do I do if the projector port is not listed in the b9 program printer management and the projector is not being seen by the b9 program, or completely recognized by the computer it seems (shows up under devices but not recognized in display settings). Should I uninstall and reinstal...

not connected to printer

Hey all, Our machine decided it doesn't want to do any more work. no changes were made to the computer, but for some reason it no longer is detecting the b9 printer. i've checked all connections and everything is plugged in. i unplugged and reseated all of them. i can turn the porjector on and off, ...

Re: Punk Minion

I do the same, I clip the supports before curing, and leave a little extra length because i noticed occasionally using clippers will cause the support to fracture rather than be cut, and this sometimes takes some media out of the model's surface. so i clip about 1-2mm from the model (depending on ho...

Re: Pendant layout

I've also had success doing minor surface repairs by painting resin on with a paint brush before curing, then hitting it with a UV flashlight for a few minutes between layers then curing normally. You can experiment with it if you aren't in a hurry.

Re: Pendant layout

you might want to adjust the positioning on some of your supports. you don't want any of the model to hang down below where there are supports, anything below the first support will not attach, it looks like the ones attached to the bottom aren't quite at the edge of the model.

Re: printing with green resin

check your projector lens, it may have some shmutz on it (i had an issue with this myself) that is diffusing the light into the rest of the vat, i would also check for something doing this on the vats window. it might not be easy to see it on the projector lens, might have to use a good power flashl...

Re: Light supports not fully connecting

we are printing at 50 xy (v1.1 machine) i didn't know i could adjust the size of the other parts of the support. has anyone dared to use the spiky support (i forget what it's called but it's like an array of 9 little hairs)? it looks so interesting, I keep meaning to do a test with it but never can ...

Re: printing with green resin

if you don't have a credit card to stir with, i've found that a deck of playing cards gives me 52 conveniently sized mixing cards for ~$1.00 they are pretty well laminated so if I clean them off well after using they get a few uses.

Light supports not fully connecting

I've got my machine pretty well dialed in as far as focus, msm, fade/balance etc. but i usually can't get the light supports to make a full connection when I print. my calibration prints are pretty much perfect. I was wondering if I should turn off the bleed reduction feature and maybe that will wor...

Re: SOLVED: Failed Castings Post: #112

brightness is one thing, but you also want to make sure it's the right wavelength of light. we use a nail curing UV light station and usually cure for 2-3 hrs just to be safe, though I feel on thinner parts that a lot less time will suffice i like to play it safe, we usually aren't in a huge hurry t...

Re: .STL file Not importing into B9Creator correctly

yeah, you have to make sure the model is "water tight" meaning a completely closed solid Rhino has ways to check this, i'm not sure if Blender does (it's been over 10 years since i even looked at blender).

Re: .STL file Not importing into B9Creator correctly

the faces of your model may be pointing the wrong direction. you should be able to flip their direction normals in your 3D modeling program.

Re: SOLVED: Failed Castings Post: #112

AND, i thought nothing was the matter with my printing. Apparently that never crossed anyone else's mind as well, since no one even aksed me about print settings. Exactly...if you had been upfront and stated you were using a different printer and guessing at exposure settings we would've had a bett...

and as a former Apple Tech Support, being honest about the equipment you are using is always the best policy, or people will be troubleshooting from the wrong angle entirely.
