Object printing in reverse

I use Rhino for slicing my files, can be that, but i mirror it directly there and then all looks OK in the editor and the orientation is the correct on the print. So for me that's not an issue... :)

Object printing in reverse

Mike, I had that directly on the B9 editor so it doesn't seam related to the projector's setting, also because when i start the projector the Vivitec lettering and also the lettering on the grid are projected correctly, just the print was inverted....

Object printing in reverse

You need to mirror your object before slicing, that also happened to me, might have something to do with the way we print using a projector or a software flaw... but it works great if you mirror your object before...

support structure advice

Something that you might find useful (for those who don't know it yet) on the support mode you can use the keyboard for extra features. shift + left mouse click -> changes the support width Del + left mouse click -> Deletes individual supports Alt + mouse scroll -> move images horizontally inside th...

behold the METRATRON!!! (First print)

I'm using a slightly different method then darth does, I normally tilt the Vat and remove the resin with a syringe, that makes it really easy and definitely not a messy job, the resin slides pretty well on the PDMS leaving almost no traces on them (except when you have residues of cured resin from f...

Horizontal Slide Base glitch?

I had that issue too, and after removing the screws that support the VAT in place (i didn't had the VAT on but the screws yes) that disappear, I think they were touching the motor arm making it reset and move to the position where they first touched it... If you didn't had your screws on, well, then...

Tools for handling Resin while emptying the VAT and return it to the bottle...

After some failed prints you might want to return the resin to the bottle in order to clean it, this is what I find useful and you might have them around too. note the amount of little debris resulted from 2 failed prints on the tea net... and you can see also some little drops on the VAT, those are...

So would you have done this?

Yes, increasing the exposure definitely works... i realized that on my first print (sphere) and then aplied it on the Metratron print and it came out perfect... (ok, not really perfect as one of the supports actually didn't support the area it should and one of the arms came out a bit smaller then t...

I think the lines are due to the resin properties, shrinkage and flow during print (but that's just a guess coming from the metratron print), do your repair and then compare, might also be that...

try to print it horizontally instead of vertically, i think the build time would reduce a looooot... ( although you would have a bit of work creating the supports for it)
