Dialing in calibration

I am trying to get the best out of my v1.1. I have attached some pictures of my last calibration part. I have been printing for some time now with no problems and just recently it has not been going very well. I am guessing it's the lamp getting old. This is in an old clear acrylic vat cured at 150°...

Re: New Vat; PDMS leaks through waterfall

I received a replacement vat a while back for the original one that was leaking liquid pdms near the dam area. I used it for a while and then needed to replace the pdms. Now I am having a new problem. I removed the old pdms and mixed the new batch 66mls. I poured the pdms in the vat and waited about...

Re: New Vat; PDMS leaks through waterfall

My pc did an auto update during a print. It wiped out a square in the middle of my pdms so I had to change it out. It was not leaking before. I did send a message to the B9 cust. serv.

New Vat; PDMS leaks through waterfall

Recently purchase a new vat through the website, I used it a couple times and then had to replace the pdms. When it was done curing I noticed there was a puddle of pdms on the counter where it cured. I looked under the vat and noticed pdms is leaking through around the clear window and the waterfall...

Cherry resin not working well

Hey guys! So here's the deal. My dad is the one who runs the business and I've recently gotten a second job. So since I've not been in the store too much as of late, he's pretty much taken over on the B9. He's been using cherry because it can get the best detail, if everything is set up correctly an...

3d hubs discussion on print quality satisfaction

I've read some of 3D Hubs other stuff(can't remember which article's in particular.) and I've always though that the article's were utter poop. It's hard to take someone's word for something when there is no physical evidence directly in front of you to support it. My relationship with this machine ...

Also, craziest coincidence just happened. Just got an email about a digital wireless microscope. Apparently is 200x optically, and 600x digitally. I don't know so much about that, but it's only $250.

I use a Dino-Lite Digital Microscope with the DinoCapture2.0 software. I put the piece on a black felt background(diamond tray) for a bit of contrast. I don't think they're spectacular pictures, but the setup does capture the detail quite well, so I guess it's not too bad.

Thanks for the kind words Eric. That software looks pretty impressive. If there's a falling out with the one I'm using(3Design), I'll definitely look into that one.
