Help with suppots

I think you may be right about the shoulders needing supports. The supports in the middle seem too thin and the chin will probably need a support or two.

First print using "Yoshi Grape"

Quote from Robert Howle on September 12, 2013, 14:30
Kiwi, what settings did u use?

I used 50 seconds for the first two layers, 9 seconds base, and 1.5 overcure. I've printed three times with the same resin and haven't had any failures.

I have to agree with Mike on this one. This is by far the best thing I've read in a long time.

First print using "Yoshi Grape"

Printed at 50xy - 25z and it's roughly 2 inches tall (50mm). I really need to get a better camera.

Slicing a new job while printing

I've done it in the past by accident thanks to the stupid touch feature on my graphics tablet.

Slicing a new job while printing

You could try running more than one instance of the program (one to print with and the other to slice with). I'm not sure if the slicing would be too resource intensive for the "printing".

Partual duplicate inside a print.

I'm printing it at the moment and it's got about an hour to go. So far everything looks ok.

Partual duplicate inside a print.

The software is up to date.
The OS is Win7.
All the files are kept locally.
No, I didn't press the pause button during the print.
I can't think of anything "weird" happening (aside from the usually weirdness that is the Northwest). Maybe it's bigfoot's fault.

Partual duplicate inside a print.

Printed this at 50xy - 76z and halfway through the upper portion of the print got duplicated. I went through the slices in the editor and everything checks out.

Incredibly small robot

I made a new mecha this afternoon and it turned out ok I guess. The fine art of getting proper supports is trying.

Good print - which mech is it ?

It's just something I threw together in about an hour in Solidworks.

This is what happens when you have only a few hours daylight left and your first larger version fails miserably (medium supports were apparently too small). Please excuse my poor skill at taking low light photos. I really need to make a lightbox. http://www.b9c.com/forum/files/uploads/2013/08/29tfm-...
