Re: anyone have 3 stage burnout schedule ?

Been using this for months now. 1) 350 F for 2 hrs (completely cure models and cure investment). 2) Up to 1450 F and hold 2 to 3 hrs. (heavier models or larger trees 3 hrs, ramp speed is 999 degrees per hr). 3) Down to casting temp over 1 hr and hold min of 1 hr before casting. (I cast at 950 F for ...

Re: Surface Roughness

I have stated in the past that I use the Zeiss lens spray on all the surfaces that light must pass through. I also stated that it is not recommended by the staff at B9. This being said, I have seen no ill effects on the printing surface. I am approaching nearly 800 hrs of print time on a single vat....

Re: Projector UNmod? (Vivitek D535-B9C XGA 1024x768)

There is a spacer ring in the projector mod. I would think u could just remove the spacer and dust ring.

Re: Surface Roughness

The best thing I have found is the Zeiss lens cleaner in the spray pump bottle available from Walmart in the eye glass store and use a microfiber cloth. ISO is kind of an "oily" substance and can leave a film like AK stated. Make sure u check the underside of the vat, this is where just an...

Re: Surface Roughness

Did u also clean the glass window inside the printer. Any smudges on any of the three surfaces will cause this. I think u are missing a surface that is not completely smudge or finger print free. If u are sure all are clean and no "shadow" image on the printing surface of the vat contact s...

Re: Surface Roughness

Check the surface of the glass bottom of the vat. any smudges or finger prints on the glass bottom or glass inside the machine will cause that. I use Zeiss lens cleaner and a microfiber cloth. Also check to make sure u don't have a "shadow" image on the print surface of the vat. Cleans wit...

Unless other users have seen it, and I haven't, u will have to get a answer from support.

Let us know the cause and solution in the event it should happen to others.

Many thanks,

Re: B9 Core Series Release Notes 1.0.30 Firmware 60

Think u should do the software and firmware updates. Done them with no issues.
U can do download and USB transfer to printer.

New B9 clean unit

Been using this for about a week now. Love the no more mess. If u could see the green resin on the micro fiber cloths, the paper towels I have used (many many rolls) and the gloves I've been through. Also got drops of cured and uncured resin all over my work table. Now it's just let the print drain ...

Re: Casting Issues

Any combination of 3 things. Have to make sure u are reaching 1350 or higher in the oven. Many thermocouples are off by 50 degrees. Just go to 1400 or 1450 to be sure. proper cure enough air flow through oven to allow for elimination of the residue from the resin. If u don't have enough O2 for oxida...

Re: Rugged - Nylon 6 Resin

You can slightly tilt the machine to allow for faster flowback. Resins designed for the 1.1 will work fine this way as long as build table and image are parallel.

Robert

Not saying this will work, just a thought since u are experimenting.

Re: B9CREATOR 1.2 - Z axis/switch not working

Sometimes the back and forth movement of the vat is caused by resin on the photo sensor on the right having resin on it. U can clean using a q tip an ISO.
