I'm still having this problem, Are you running thru a VGA cable like me or HDMI. Robert suggests HDMI but my laptop doesn't have. If your also using VGA then I'll try a different computer with HDMI, otherwise I'll have to revert back to older software. I'm running through VGA, again the laptop I'm ...
I've backdated to 1.7.3 and the associated firmware (2.05?) and just had a successful print. No projector errors in over 4 hours, so it does appear to be related to the update.
I've now tried resetting it several times and it's made no difference. I've tried turning the anti virus software off, but it's also made no difference. Is anything logged anywhere that might give me a clue where to start looking? All the connections are fine as everything restarts fine once I resta...
I'm having the same problem on my 1.1 machine, running the latest firmware, controlled through a laptop running XP. It's only been doing it since the update - I've not seen this before. There's no pattern to when it happens, sometimes it happens after 20 minutes, sometimes a couple of hours. Sometim...
The Chinese knock-offs have started: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-High-Resolution-SLA-Stereolithography-3D-Printer-with-Extra-1-Bottle-Resin-/181622651622?_trksid=p2054897.l4275 I just happened upon it whilst researching something else. It's a bit blatant and the ebay description seems to be a copy...
Quote from akgold on November 10, 2014, 14:48 oh I forgot to mention I have removed the wiper as well. There is no need for it. Whilst I understand that coating doesn't need oxygenating, like PDMS, isn't a good idea to retain the sweeper to clear any loose bits from the build area? I'm looking forw...
Quote from Arno-Millenaar on October 28, 2014, 17:59 @Centaur Can you share what 'alternative' you are using for the Sylgard and what the results are so far. Especially the resistance against 'fogging' is interesting to know. (I know this subject should be in a different thread) QSIL216. It doesn't...
I just use our domestic oven (when my wife is out ;) ) I cook it for about an hour at 100, although I'm not using Sylgard, but an alternative. I'm still using the original, waterfall, coating method - the cliff method doesn't seem to bring any advantages, and is a lot more fiddly. I'm going to try c...
Quote from mikej on August 21, 2014, 04:33 If it's related to power management it should. It should also help with certain Windows XP lost comm issues, if that was your OS?
I like the sound of that! Will give it a go and report back.
Thanks Mike. It's definitely the laptop that I was using, as I'm currently using my wife's laptop and that's working fine. I wonder whether something's not right with the old laptop - this problem only started the other week, and it was fine before that. I've tried a different port and had the same ...
It's an NVIDIA Quadro FX Go 1400. I'll try turning the projector on manually, to see if that makes a difference, but I don't think so as my problem only happens during the print, it starts off fine. The USB logging has thrown something up, in as much as something seems to happen right before it stop...
I spoke too soon, as it happens. Despite not allowing the USB ports to be powered down, I still lost communication during the last print, despite the one before being perfect! I've now edited the registry to disable selective suspend permanently, so will see if that makes a difference. I'm also runn...
Quote from bvwjewelers on August 10, 2014, 14:29 I would suggest looking at your USB Root Hub and select them to the off. Thanks for the suggestion - I never knew that option existed, I've now set them to constantly on and it's solved my problems. It's strange how something can work perfectly for a...
